INSTRUCTORS

Randy Hann 5th Degree Black Belt

  • Randy Hann co-instructs the Bowling Green Karate for Kids Program.  He started karate in BG under Robert Nicholson in 1974.  He received his black belt in 1977 and presently holds a 5th-degree black belt. He has worked with both adult and children programs and promoted numerous students to Black Belt rank. In addition to teaching regular classes, Mr. Hann has also developed and conducted women's only programs for purposes of self-defense and anti-rape training. Aside from teaching Karate, Hann has spent numerous hours studying grappling, tuite, and kata (both empty hand and weapons). His classes focus on the understanding of technique and developing useful training methods. His students learn a manner of practicing Karate so that they can exercise, compete in tournaments (if they want to), and apply their knowledge in self-defense situations.
